One of the great things about Maker Faire is that it brings together just about every type of maker for one crazy weekend of showing off, sharing skills and making new friends.

But there is one type of making that is so iconic of Maker Faire, they made it into their mascot.

Who doesn’t love robots? I sure do, and I know you do to.  That’s why we were so excited when the FIRST Tech Challenge PowerStackers #5029 robotics team approached us and asked if they could hold scrimmages at this year’s Maker Faire.

Because the only thing better than robots is competitive robots!

We’ve had exhibits and demonstrations of FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics teams before, but we’ve never had live, on-site scrimmages showcasing all that these student-built robots can do.

Are you a coach or member of a FIRST team? If your team wants to participate in the scrimmages, just fill out this simple form.  Right now, we will definitely be holding FTC scrimmages, but if there is enough interest we will expand to hosting FLL and FRC scrimmages as well.
