Want to get started in Amateur Radio?

Get your Technician Class amateur radio license! Paul Simmons (WA1EIB) from the Miami County Amateur Radio Club will teach you everything that you need to know to pass the test and get started in amateur radio.

The class will be held in Bier Hall inside Carillon Brewery, starts on Saturday August 4th at 8:30 am and runs until 3:30 pm with a half hour break for lunch. At 3:30pm the students have the option to take the free license exam.  The public is also invited to take a license exam for any of the three licenses (Technician/General/Amateur Extra) – no preregistration or admission is required for testing.

Pre-registration is required to participate in the class, via the form below.  General admission to Carillon Park is required to take the class.  For those attending the class, admission to the park will extend to Sunday for you to enjoy the full Maker Faire experience.
