Today we got to judge the Xenia BuildIt Challenge, and it did not disappoint! From a cardboard coral reef to an Arduino driven, gumball Plinko machine (still of cardboard), the amount of creativity on display was fantastic. Congratulations especially to the 5 ft dragon marionette for taking home the Grand Prize tonight. Enjoy some of our pictures of the creative young makers in Xenia, and don’t forget to check out the BuildIt Challenge website for even more!

  • Eric says:

FYI, the dragon stalks in at over 8ft from nose to tail. Just be glad he wasn’t breathing fire!

  • This is what Yankee ingenuity looks like when you’re learning the ropes. These students solved some tricky engineering problems, and for many it was their first taste at project management. I was impressed at their overall resourcefulness.
