So for those of you keeping score, we are T-37 days away from the 2017 Dayton Mini Maker Faire.
Have you checked out the Makers & Exhibits page recently? Wow! We have 65 exhibits already registered, and we know a few more are on the way. Because we’ve had such an overwhelming response, and because we know a few makers out there need just a little more time to fill out their forms and make their plans, we’ve extended the Call for Makers deadline by a week. You now have until July 12 to register for your exhibit space, stage time, or vendor booth.
We also have big news on the Boneyard Build-Off front. We now have a total of 5 teams competing in this year’s DIY battle royale. Local makerspace Dayton Diode has just thrown their hat into the ring, joining the ranks of the UD Makerz, Team Little Fox, BONDS!, and the defending champions The Constant Variables.
We also have a little shindig planned for the Saturday at Proto BuildBar. The Boneyard Bash is part kick-off party, part fund raiser, with fun hands on activities for the whole family including screen-printing your own Boneyard Build-Off logo tee shirt, life-sized Angry Birds, and more! Don’t forget, the Boneyard Bash is also your ONLY CHANCE to cast your vote for the Boneyard Challenge you want to see put to the teams this year. It’s also your chance to win one of 2 family packs of tickets to the Dayton Maker Faire. We’ll be raffling off the tickets this Saturday.
See you all this Saturday! Don’t forget to submit your Call for Makers form by July 12!
